Host was very accomodating with suggestions of things to do in London and how to navigate the city. Very friendly, welcoming place to stay and the location is perfect.

This is a home away from home, bedroom quite small, but charming! Our hostess very helpful, fun and hospitable. Excellent location, lots of ambience.

Absolutely lovely hospitality; the Lady was the most thoughtfull we've ever met, even before our arrival, full of good advices and willing in every kind of our needs; it was like staying in friend's home. In our opinion perfect!

I forget. The house has a lovely and typical London roof terrace, where you can have your breakfast served, that's full of character; something like "the 101 dalamties" or "Mary Poppins" moovies!!!

The house is in a very attractive quiet street very close to bus and underground connections. This makes it an ideal location for staying when exploring London. Charlotte Dexter was an extremely congenial hostess who made every effort to help us get the most out of our trip. I would very well recommend other people to stay with her.

Although close to shops and tube station, house is situated in a leafy street off the main road and the bedroom overlooks a yard, so very quiet at night. Hostess was very friendly, helpful and welcoming, and I was offered a glass of wine of an evening on the delightful roof terrace, where I was also able to take breakfast. Bedroom was very compact, but the bed was extremely comfortable. Not en-suite, but the private bathroom is just along the corridor (next to the private sitting-room) and is gorgeous - luxurious, Molton Brown toiletries, abundant hot water, large, deep bath (shower attachment), which is perfect for a long soak at the end of a tiring day's sightseeing. The bathrobe and slippers were a thoughtful extra.

We had a wonderful time at Barclay House. Our only concern was that the room was quite small for two large people. A larger bed would have made a huge difference to us. The breakfasts were lovely and Charlotte went above and beyond the call of duty for us on multiple occasions. We would certainly return and will recommend Barclay House to friends and family. Cheers!

May 25, 2005 I was met at the airport by the gentleman of the house and while it did cost something it was heaven after a long flight from California-The house is just around the corner from the tube stop and it is not an impossible walk to Knitsbridge-About a haf hour through a neighborhood that reflects today's London. The Lady of the house is knowledgeable and hospitable-I heard her arrange a tour with some guests that were on their first trip to London. The musical evenings are gracious and the food is good. Altogether it is a perfect place to be. Best- MA SImmons
