Besides the beautifully decorated room and fantastic location of the Marina View Bed and Breakfast, the Innkeeper and Chambermaid were extremely friendly and helpful. I definitely want to visit this B&B again and will recommend it to everyone going to Barcelona. I can't wait to go back!!!!

My Mother and I just returned from staying at the Marina View B&B (http://www.marinaviewbcn.com/english/). I had to switch to the Hilton for work (double the price), but would have gladly stayed with the friendly and cozy Marina View instead!! Jose Maria is extremely hospitable and made us feel very welcome. Although the website says there is a 3 day minimum, we were there for one night only (and he upgraded us!), so I'm nor sure how strict that "rule" is. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the location is very convenient - a couple blocks off the Ramblas, overlooking the marina. Spotless and attractive, satellite TV, towel warmers/hairdryers in the bathroom and breakfast delivered to your room - all for about $100. What more could you ask for? The place is a real gem and a bargain too!! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Barcelona.

Three things make this B&B a terrific choice...Jose (the innkeeper), the location and the price. Jose could not have been more charming and accommodating during our five-day stay in mid-February 2004, during which our family group of 4 occupied two rooms (the Fisherman's room and the Pier room.) At our request he provided a special breakfast (for all those low carb dieters out there), arranged a car rental and gave us a map with personal restaurant recommendations, which were all wonderful. Our rooms were comfortable, spotlessly clean and furnished with contemporary fixtures. The location at the foot of the Rambla, within a short walk of some of Barcelona's best seafood restaurants, made this B&B an ideal starting point for exploring the city and eating wonderful food. Barcelona is not an inexpensive city (and I live in New York City!), and the current exchange rate with the US$ makes it even more so, so I appreciate this very reasonably priced option. I recommend it highly.

This B&B is very well situated for catching the touristic buses and for walking around Barcelona. Do not be put off by the unpreposessing front entrance. The accommodation on the fourth floor(there is an elevator) is spotlessly clean and Jose is very welcoming and helpful. We found it surprisingly quiet and slept well.

We had a very warm welcome even though it was late at night when we arrived. Jose guided us to places to eat and visit, saved us time and money with his local knowledge. Very freindly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and cleaned meticulously every day(I am sure the bed covers where measured to be so neat).Over all we had a very relaxed 3 day stay, and will be back next year.Highly recomended. PS. The views from the two marina view rooms are stunning, and the sun rises in the morning over the marina and shines into the patio door, very beautiful. Best wishes from John & Jayne

The owner is charming and will go the extra mile to please his guests. He was very flexible with the time of departure and allowed us to leave our bags there prior to leaving for the airport - which allowed us to go to the restaurant without luggage. The accommodation made our experience all the more magical - like home from home - with a wonderful selection of teas and tea sets he knows how to make a guest feel special.
