Demystify Burgundy Wines Weekend
Have you ever asked yourself these questions: “There seems to be so many wines from Burgundy…which one do I chose?”, “Why do the Burgundy wines vary so much in price?”, “How do I match the appropriate Burgundy wine with food?”, “How does the quality of wines vary given the different appellations?”, “Which Burgundy vintages can I keep and for how long?”. If yes, then you will enjoy the Demystify Burgundy Wines weekend where your questions and more will be answered!
The Demystify Burgundy Wines weekend is planned from 13 to 16 November 2008 and has been created by Burgundy Discovery and Chateau Les Roches. Lynne and David, the founders for Burgundy Discovery, will uncover the secrets of the “terroir”, explain why wines taste so different within the Burgundy region, facilitate a wine tasting session including village wines to grand cru wines, visit independent wine growers and of course taste their wines. Your three-night accommodation will take place at Chateau Les Roches, which is a boutique guest house located in a hilltop medieval village with unobstructed views of the countryside. The setting of Les Roches is perfect place to taste wines, enjoy gourmet food and of course completely unwind and feel completely relaxed.
The cost of the Demystify Burgundy Wines Weekend is 800 euros per person (based on two people sharing a bedroom), which includes the accommodation, chauffeured wines tours, breakfast, 2 lunches and 1 dinner. If you are interested, we can provide a detailed agenda for the weekend.

Burgundy Cooking Get-Away
We are pleased to offer a Burgundy cooking experience with Alex Miles each Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Alex Miles a chef de cuisine and pastry chef. He has lived in France for over 25 years and has worked with the world famous Lenotre in Europe and in the US. He had 5 French pastry chef shops of his own in New York and lectures throughout France on French and American culinary history and culture. The experience includes a three night stay at Château Les Roches, guided visit of the Dijon food market in the morning and the cooking demonstration is then followed in a Dijon kitchen. The Burgundy fare is then enjoyed for lunch! The cost is €775 per couple (one the evenings need to include a Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday).

Burgundy Golf Get-Away
We are pleased to offer a Golf Get-Away in Burgundy, which includes two rounds of golf at Château de Chailly and a three night stay at Château Les Roches (the golf course is just a 10 minute drive from Les Roches). The championship length golf course at Château de Chailly will challenge every golfer – to score well a long drive is helpful and selecting the right club for the approach is crucial given the large and well protected greens. The cost is €655 per couple (which includes a three night stay, breakfast and two rounds of golf).
