This B&B was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there more than 20 years ago. She knew we were looking for a quiet weekend in the country and that our tastes ran to the charming rather than the opulent. The Churchill House was a wonderful stay for us. The bedroom was comfortable, and the young couple who host do a super job. The common areas were pleasant and there was a lot of space to be alone -- sometimes we go to B&Bs where there is just one sitting room and all the guests are on top of each other, but not here. We literally started hiking the first morning after a great breakfast by walking out the front door to the National Forest, just like they say. Returning in the afternoon, we drove down to Brandon, which has some original art galleries. The value was good, the weather was perfect, and the weekend was memorable.
