INFORMATION ABOUT CEDAR CITY | |
The town of Cedar City, located in Southern Utah, about 250 miles South of Salt Lake City, is home to the famous Shakespearean Festival. Each summer, visitors come from all corners to participate in this spectacular event, and to tour scenic Cedar Breaks National Monument. Southern Utah University adds an additional, exciting dimension to this vibrant community. The area around Cedar City offers great opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding and fishing in beautiful natural settings. In winter, Brian Head Ski Resort (30 miles northeast) offers the best snow skiing in southern Utah, as well as cross-country skiing. Other points of interest include Zion National Park (60 miles south), Bryce National Park (65 miles east) and Parowan Gap. |
