| Fensalden Inn, the land of the sea and the mist, was a Well Fargo Stagecoach stop during the 1860's. Now a completely renovated B&B, it offers 8 accommodations, each with private bathroom, either gas or wood burning fireplace, bar refrigerator with a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival, full gourmet breakfast, wine and hors d'oeuvres each afternoon in the Tavern Room. In the Main House the Hawthorne Suite offers a queen-size canopy bed. The Tower complex houses another suite with a full kitchen. There is a separate Bungalow, with full kitchen, bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, 2 lofts, each with a single bed, as well as an alcove with queen bed, and a queen bed in the main room. Fensalden is located just 1/4 mile off the Coast Highway, and 7 short miles south of Mendocino. Fine dining, antique shops, galleries and unique shops abound. |
