| DESCRIPTION |
|
Villa Il Torrino rises above the ruins of the Montechiari Castle once belonged to the dell'Agnello family, where we can find among its ancestors Giovanni dell'Agnello the Only Doge of the Maritime Republic of Pisa. From 1350 to 1450 the dell'Agnello's Castle witnessed the furious and violent wars fought between the Maritime Republic of Pisa and the powerful City of Florence, and as a consequence of that the castle sufferd fires and devastations up to its complete destruction. Later on Villa Il Torrino was built and still nowadays belongs to the dell'Agnello family descendants.
Villa Il Torrino's name was inherited from its little tower that, from high above the Villa's roof, overlooks the famous and incomparable Tuscan countryside and coast line.
Nowadays a separate wing of the Villa functions as a Bed and Breakfast, composed of four elegant suites with private bathroom and shower.
Villa Il Torrino, in the midst of the worldly known Tuscan countryside, offers a favorable environment for well-being and relaxation, as well as the perfect balance between modern comfort and the old-fashioned charms of courtesy, discretion and hospitality.
