There is a superbly located and very elegantly decorated apartment for two to four in the Borne, just a short walk from the Picasso museum and some of the most famous churches and monuments in the old city of Barcelona. This is in the heart of the Borne, the most vibrant neighborhood of the gothic district replete with taverns, medieval wine tasting bars, terrific restaurants and the most spectacular gothic church in the city, the Santa Maria del Mar.
The penthouse has it's own private rooftop deck. It's owned by a Spanish sculptor and painter that let it to friends and occasionally to travelers. There is a living room area with unbeatable views of the entire port area and panorama of the entire old city, from the bathroom window you can see the spires of the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's church - as if it were framed in a postcard.
With a well proportioned bedroom area and large bathroom - all filled with interesting works of art and collected from this semi retired couples' numerous travels - it's impossible to beat this standard in any BB in the city.
You would have the apartment to yourselves. The building is completely restored from the 1700's with a large and easy access elevator. |
