| Puerto Rico is a self-governing commonwealth, in association with the United States, in the northeastern Caribbean. It is comprised of the main island and a number of smaller islands, which include Mona, Vieques and Culebra. Puerto Rico is historic and cosmopolitan, exotic and accessible, urban and rural. It offers beautiful beaches, tropical landscapes and rain forests and 500 years of Spanish cultural influence. Bed and breakfast travelers may choose from a wide variety of sports, including golf, tennis, horseback riding, and all kinds of water sports, from scuba diving to deep-sea fishing.
