Spectacular walks and hikes are right at the doorstep. This nature get-away is located in the lush, evergreen, desert woodlands of the Coronado National Forest. Located 80 miles southeast of Tucson, this B & B is nestled in the Dragoon Mountains, in the heart of the famous Cochise Stronghold, once the winter home of the Chiricahua Apache. The views from every direction are amazing as sculptured, granite peaks rise to 7,500 ft. encircling this magical place. Enjoy the luxury of clear night skies for stargazing, while soaking in the hot tub. Accommodations are deluxe and elegant in the ranch style guest-house featuring two totally private units. Two-foot thick walls are softly sculpted, curving at the doors and windows. Shaded porches and sunny, south facing patios are comfortably furnished for outdoor relaxing. The Agave Room is spacious, romantically decorated with SW and antique treasures and features a king size bed. The Manzanita Suite is a complete apartment with fully equipped kitchen, private bed room and an extra queen bed. A traditional tipi with a fullsize double bed and two deluxe single beds, and a Franklin stove is tucked away in a distant grove of manzanita, oak and juniper trees.
Cochise Stronghold Bed & Breakfast is a dream come true for visitors looking for some quiet seclusion and a chance to commune and connect with nature. Birds and wildlife abound! With the fresh mountain air, trails through oak, juniper, madrone and manzanita woodlands and wildlife that includes javelina, coatimundi, deer, badgers, lizards and hundreds of species of birds, there is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature at it's most beautiful in Arizona.
