| Williams is located in north-central Arizona and offers visitors the shortest route from Interstate 40 to the Grand Canyon. Williams provides a small-town atmosphere, but with close proximity to Flagstaff large-town conveniences and entertainment are only 30 minutes away. Guests can enjoy rides between Williams and the Grand Canyon on Grand Canyon Railroad's historic steam-engine train . Other area attractions include Bill Williams Mountain, White Horse Lake and the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Area. Within an hour's drive are Walnut Canyon and Wupatki National Monuments, Sunset Crater and the San Francisco Peaks. In winter, the Williams Ski Area provides downhill skiing and sledding. Cross-country ski trails are also located nearby. |
