The Philip W. Smith Bed and Breakfast is a charming Queen Anne Victorian Home with eleven stained glass windows, 12 foot ceilings, and ornately carved woodwork. Philip W. Smith Bed and Breakfast offers six guest rooms with private baths. Guests enjoy breakfast and an evening dessert during their stay. Antiques and Amish-crafted fine furniture surround visitors in an old world atmosphere with all the modern conveniences. Spacious guest rooms provide comfort and elegance for leisure and business travelers.
In 1904 Martha E. Parry completed her Colonial Revival home with stained glass grandeur. All four graceful rooms and their individual baths provide for a luxurious stay. The interior of the home is an interesting blend of both classic Roman and Art Nouveau detailing. Both styles were very popular during the turn of the century. A 8 by 10 foot Art Nouveau stained glass window accentuates the grand mahogany staircase, which is protected by two majolica sirens. Other features include original antique gas and electric light fixtures, hand printed art wallpaper, built-in servers and cabinetry, fine furniture, and antiques. Furniture featured throughout the house serves as showroom pieces, which are available through custom order. Martha E. Parry Bed & Breakfast, Fine Furniture and Antiques showcase Tom Seely Furniture (Amish and Mennonite hand crafted, solid wood furniture) and Berne Furniture (upholstered furniture.
A sumptuous breakfast and evening dessert are prepared and served by the innkeepers, Jill and Kris Nelson. Fine antiques and other reproduction furnishings grace the home and are offered for sale. Hand-screened wall coverings, recreated from period papers, establish traditional splendor. Each unique room invites visitors to experience the past while taking pleasure in modern conveniences.
