WHAT DO GUESTS SAY ABOUT US? (quotes from our guest book):
• Great location. Easy walk to EVERYTHING in the French Quarter,
• Comfortable, romantic surroundings,
• magical HONEYMOON.
• We'll never stay at an hotel again,
• Knowledgeable friendly hosts,
• a short walk to convention center!
• Can't wait to return.
• so MANY collectibles, art& books.
OUR CLIENTELE: Although we specialize in hosting 1st time French Quarter visitors (we call y'all "virgins"), you'll meet folks who've stayed with us before. They're from almost every walk of life: struggling graduate students on a budget, physicians and the medical community, educators, foreign travelers, traveling business women, groups of friends, reunions, grown daughters & mothers / fathers and sons, honeymooners or those seeking a romantic getaway.
PAMPERING AND SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY: You will not just be a room number if you stay with us! Whether you stay at the B&B or in our other accommodations nearby, we'll help you enjoy the pleasures of a bygone era.
VOODOO AND BORDELLO: If you visit or stay at the main B&B, Banana Courtyard has a rich history. In the mid-1800s, the house was home to a rival of Voodoo Queen Marie LaVeau. From the late 1800s and into the new century, legal brothels flourished in New Orleans. Although not in the infamous Storyville District, our home was then a prosperous bordello serving society's elite and politicians. Now it is decorated with an interesting mix of antiques, art, murals, Mardi Gras memorabilia, antique dolls, loads of book, and lots of "stuff" some guests call collectibles.
EXTRA SERVICE: Concierge is too fancy a word. We just try to make everyone feel 'at home' while enjoying our city. At the B&B, we try to keep bottled water +soft drinks out for guests. We live here, so during business hours, if we're around, feel free to ask for a glass of wine or beer.
That's MORE lagniappe: a little something extra (free).
We hope you'll let us be your hosts to N'AWLINS, The Big Easy.
