Bear Mountain Inn is a unique country style Bed and Breakfast located on 52 acres in Waterford Maine. Because the property is surrounded by Bear Mountain, Bear River and Bear Pond, we are a haven to nature and wildlife.
Our Country Inn features 11 rooms which includes two 2-bedroom suites for families and large luxurious Suite for a special occasion or romantic getaway. Our B&B would not be complete without a new designed cottage complete with fireplace, log bed, kitchenette and antique bath tub. A log cabin in the woods with a view of Bear River and Bear Pond is perfect for those who want to rough it. Each bedroom in the Inn has its own special touch. The Inn features two fieldstone fireplaces. An outdoor fieldstone BBQ Pit with large deck overlooks the Lake. A natural spring flows from Bear Mountain to an ouside spicket for a cool drink of fresh water. With a wrap around porch and many rockers, the Inn invites you to stay and unwind for many days. Leave your everyday stress behind and enjoy finding your sense of inner peace. You’ll enjoy taking a rigorous hike up Bear Mountain, or a nice relaxed stroll along the wooded trail of Bear River. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, or a paddleboat trip on Bear Pond or a nap in our hammock as you leave your everyday stress behind.
Your emotions will be stirred by the beauty that gently surrounds our Country B & B. Our guests wake to the sounds of nature and loon calls. The surrounding area is known as the Western Maine Lakes and Mountains Region. Nearby are several quaint towns such as Bridgton, Bethel, Lovell, Fryeburg and Harrison. Bear Inn is located just one hour from Portland Maine. The activities in the area are endless. We invite you to click on our activities page for specific detail on all summer and winter activities. Surrounded by 52 acre of rolling fields and forest, the Country style Bed and Breakfast provides a perfect environment for birds and other wildlife that adds to our guest’s enjoyment of the property. Bear Mountain Inn provides a sandy beach and canoes, kayaks and a paddleboat for our guest’s enjoyment. In the fall, the Lakes and Mountains of Maine attract the leaf peepers, apple pickers and Fryeburg fair goers. Wintertime is a very special season in Maine. Because of our location our guests our minutes from Shawnee Peak in Bridgton and Sunday River in Bethel. BMI is located on a major ITS Snowmobile Trail and we can provide our guests with a Snowmobile from Western Maine Snowmobiles. Located only 30 minutes from the White Mountains and Conway New Hampshire, hiking, antiquing and shopping also popular pastimes for our guests. Visiting the local Bison Farm, Horseback riding Centers and Llama Farms in the oxford hills area also attracts many visitors.
