The Fuquay Mineral Spring Inn and Garden Bed and Breakfast is a Colonial Revival Landmark, which is listed on the National Register Historic District, located directly across the street from the Historic Fuquay Mineral Spring Park, in Fuquay Springs. Innkeepers and Owners John (currently the Mayor of Fuquay-Varina) and Patty Byrne (English teacher at Fuquay-Varina High School) welcome you to the Fuquay Mineral Spring Inn and Garden after two years of detailed restoration.
The inn is perched on a hill overlooking the Mineral Spring with a period Gazebo in the garden offering great views of Fuquay-Varina. It features a main parlor which will host a crowd of thirty easily and is also used for card games and chess, a dining room, used to serve breakfast, with a Miele espresso, cappuccino and coffee maker for guests' enjoyment, a library and a cheery sunroom offering views of the side garden, gazebo and the Mineral Spring. The porch off the sunroom, offers a casual outdoors breakfast spot for two or three.
The delightful breakfast consists of coffee or tea, followed by juice and a fresh fruit plate or hot cracked cereal with apples, pecans, and raisins is and option. Breads and muffins are home-made.
The inn is located less than a block from old town Fuquay Springs for shopping and dining. The Hyphen Coffee Shop, Cooley's Restaurant and Tavern for fine dining, and antiquing at the famous Bostic and Wilson Antiques all within easy walking distance on Main Street. In the heart of the shopping district you will find Elliott's Pharmacy (great place for milkshake), The Lazy Lion used book shop, the Gold Leaf Tearoom, Selections Gifts Limited, Elmo's Clothing, and Ashworth's Clothing and Shoes which is known throughout North Carolina for fine clothes. |
