| DESCRIPTION |
|
Listed on the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places, the Inn was built in 1895 as a trout fishing lodge. The Beaverkill, one of America's premiere trout fishing streams, flows 100 feet from the Inn. Guests enjoy fly-fishing access to one mile of private water on the upper Beaverkill. Understated elegance and premiere service in a serene setting round-out the experience for guests.
The original inn building, built in 1893, offers 20 guest rooms, fine dining, a game room, a Victorian bar and sundeck. There are also two outdoor tennis courts, a casting pond, and over 30 miles of private hiking and cross country skiing trails surrounding the Inn. Ski rental and fishing equipment rental available.
Guests enjoy full breakfast each day consisting of fruit, fresh baked muffins, eggs, bacon, sausage, blueberry pancakes, cereal and apple strudel French toast with locally made maple syrup, and afternoon refreshments on Saturdays. Lunch and dinner are also available each day, for an additional fee. The Inn takes pride in its food, the excellence of which has been noted in numerous travel magazines and guidebooks. The breads and desserts are homemade and use the freshest and most seasonal foods. Within minutes of the Inn is the local General Store and River Pub, owned by the Inn's owners.
