| DESCRIPTION |
|
The inn is a handsome colonial structure dating back to 1894. The mansion was built by Joseph Courtemanche, a local blacksmith and carriagemaker who made his fortune as the visionary who built the first electric power plant in the valley. The main house has tall ceilings, and a lovely living room with fireplace, conversation areas. Off the living room are a cozy little 4 seat bar with its' original tin ceiling, the Lincoln library and the 48 seat dining room open to the public for dinner. Tucked behind the inn is a carriage house of the same vintage.
It has been recently renovated and welcoming visitors in its three guest rooms or cozy suite featuring a fireplace, cable TV and 2-person whirlpool bath with skylight overhead for star gazing. The guestrooms are decorated individually with antiques, country furnishings, and a splash of the innkeepers' travels to be sure to make guests feel at home upon arrival and perfectly rested and renewed when departing.
The full country breakfast is prepared by chef owner Gerard Gingras. Dine by candlelight in the intimate dining room. The stone fireplace provides a warm glow on a wintry night. Alfresco dining on the awning-covered porch is a summertime treat. Dinners, exquisitely prepared by Chef de Cuisine Graham Gill, are served to Inn guests and the public. Fine wines and cocktails will enhance your dining experience. Dinner reservations may be made well in advance of your visit. It is particularly advisable to do so for Saturday evenings.
