In the heart of Amsterdam you will find “Kamer 01” (room 1); a bed and breakfast designed with a philosophy of style and personal service. Close to museums, cultural activities and nightlife, your stay at 'Kamer 01' is the beginning of your discovery of Amsterdam.
Located in a beautiful 17th century monument you will come to appreciate the typical "feel" of Amsterdam. The interior has been professionally renovated by Atelier Hertogh to meet modern day artistic and technical standards. In these delightful surroundings your hosts: Peter and Wolter offer you a concept of personal service aimed at making your stay a memorable one.
There are 2 rooms: the Blue Room and the Red Room.
The red room has been stylishly decorated. It has a comfortable king size bed (which can be turned into twins) and a small desk. The private bathroom has a rain-shower, large wash-basin and toilet.
The blue room is modernly decorated. It has a romantic round bed and a small private terrace. The private bathroom has a bath, shower, 2 separate wash-basins and toilet.
Since this room is in the roof construction, it is less suited for very tall guests.
In both rooms you will find a flatscreen TV and DVD-player, 24 h ADSL fast internet with a Apple imac (in the red room you can plug in your own laptop, in both rooms there is wireless internet) and I-tunes with a music library. If you have favourite music, let us know.
In the winter time the rooms are heated, in the summertime the room is cooled as is customary locally, by opening windows for fresh air. Every morning we will prepare a breakfast catered to your wishes which will be served in our basement kitchen or if so desired in your room. After a busy day in the city we invite you for a complimentary pre-dinner drink.
If the weather allows we can have this 'on the stoop'. During your stay feel free to get a drink or snack from the kitchen. If you wish we can arrange a pick-up from the airport or central station, please ask for our rates.
Kamer 01 is situated in the heart of Amsterdam. Within walking distance of all internationally renowned museums, as well as major Dutch theaters and cinemas.
After you have enjoyed all this you can plunge into the nightlife on Rembrandt square, Leidseplein or the trendy Reguliersdwarsstraat. All are within walking distance. In our B&B you can always find the latest information about exhibitions, shows, performances and parties. We can advise you on where to go for dinner and if you wish make a reservation.
Simple house rules: No pets allowed, Peter en Wolter have a dog. The rooms are on the second and third floor, so you have to climb a flight of stairs.
