Centrally located in the heart of Boston's historic Beacon Hill neighborhood, The Charles Street Inn is just a short walk away from the Boston Common & Public Gardens, the Freedom Trail, Newbury Street and the Back Bay, the Esplanade, Chinatown, the Theatre District and Faneuil Hall. Lined with gaslamps, red brick sidewalks and antique shops, Beacon Hill is Boston's most charming neighborhood.
Our nine Victorian suites are decorated and furnished in exquisite Second Empire Victoria style. Each room features the original working marble fireplace, authentic period art and antiques, original plaster cornices and ceiling medallions. The rooms are named after luminaries from Boston's Victorian era (e.g. Ralph Waldo Emerson, Louisa May Alcott, Oliver Wendell Holmes, etc.) and decorated to reflect the their personality.
Queen rooms enjoy roof top views, king rooms have garden views, and all rooms have luxury cherry wood and while Italian tile bathrooms that include large Ultra Thermo-Masseur whirlpools and Kohler showers, kitchenettes with sub-zero refrigerator/freezers, high quality coffee makers, Frette linens including robes and slippers, and Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries. Modern amenities include DSL & wireless internet, two phone lines with fax, Bose Wave AM/FM radio with CD player, cable Sony stereo television with DVD/VCR, free use of videos, in-room safes, CD and book library. With elevator access to all rooms, it is not necessary to climb stairs at the Charles Street Inn (one room is fully handicapped).
