Ideally located in downtown Chicago on a leafy residential street in an area called Old Town and Lincoln Park, Old Town Chicago Bed & Breakfast Inn is a neat 2 miles north of the financial district, a mile north of North Michigan Avenue shopping, 1.5 miles from the Merchandise Mart and 5 miles from McCormick Place. The Wells Street restaurant & entertainment strip is 2 blocks east, the Chicago Historical Society and Lincoln Park - the park - 4 blocks away, North Avenue Beach on Lake Michigan, 6 blocks and Lincoln Park Zoo and Lincoln Park Conservatory 8 blocks. ~
The B&B occupies the eleven-room west wing of a $2 million art deco mansion completed in 1999. Each of 4 guest suites offers ensuite private bath, sitting area, private line telephone & answering machine, full function cable television, VCR and walk-in closet with rated wall safe. Common areas, shared only by other guests, feature a fifty foot long drawing room / dining room with Baldwin grand piano, marble fireplace, sumptuous furniture and significant art, extensive 33 RPM record collection, big screen TV and VCR with large video collection and a chef's kitchen. A penthouse aerie, rooftop decks, conference room, gymnasium and laundry facilities round out the common areas. Our generous larder is open 24 hours for breakfast and snacks. Parking is available.
