Built on Normandy Plantation (former tung oil plantation) by Louis Chenel of Normandy, France. Louis Chenel designed Normandy House in the style of a typical French country home.
Features:
Split-beamed ceilings, hardwood floors, antique wine bottles imbedded in chimneys exterior, antiques, sculpture and blown glass, large country kitchen, formal dining room with fireplace, large elegant bedrooms with beautiful views, 2200 square foot flagstone patio overlooking large pond.
Bedrooms:
All have luxurious linens, down comforters and pillows (we provide non-allergenic pillows and comforters also). Our premiere suite is the Chalet Indien (named for a 1930's resort hotel Louis Chenel built in the foothills of the Catskill Mts.). It is 650 sq.ft. with a 20 ft. split-beamed ceiling, cozy armchairs and couch flank a woodburning fireplace and exquiste hand-hammered copper trees shelter a king size bed.
